A sub-processor is a third party we use to run Rechna. This page lists every one, what it receives, and where. The short version: everything runs in AWS Frankfurt, and the only data that can leave the EU is an invoice email — if you switch delivery on.
| Sub-processor | Purpose | Data it receives | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Hosting, database, backups, and the write-once invoice archive (S3 Object Lock). The landing site is served via Amazon CloudFront. | All app data: order and customer data read for invoicing, issued invoice documents, your seller details and settings. The landing site processes no personal data. | EU — eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) |
| Resend | Emailing issued invoices to your customers — only if you enable delivery (off by default). | The recipient's email address and the invoice document (PDF). | US (Standard Contractual Clauses) |
Shopify — Rechna runs inside Shopify and reads your orders through Shopify's APIs. Shopify is your platform and your own processor under your agreement with Shopify — not a Rechna sub-processor — but it is where the data originates.
We update this page before adding or replacing a sub-processor, and note material changes in the app. See the Data Processing Agreement for your right to object.
